“As a society, we support and enhance the development and application of psychology for the greater public good. We strive to promote and advance the discipline, and are delighted to be inspiring school students about Psychology with I’m a Scientist.

Throughout June 2022, I’m a Scientist, Get me out of here will connect school students with working psychologists in the Psychology Zone.

I’m a Scientist is a safe, student-led online activity.

It’s quick and easy to set up, and text-only – no audio or video required.

In the Psychology Zone, students can:

  • Gain a better understanding of what psychology is, and who it’s for
  • See how psychology works outside of the classroom
  • Learn more about new career paths they might not have considered
  • Gain confidence by asking questions

It’s accessible from the classroom or home and super-flexible – you book chats at times that suit you and your classes.

Thanks to funding from the British Psychological Society, this activity is completely free for UK state-maintained schools.
