About Me:
I’m currently based at Fermilab (a national Particle Physics lab), near Chicago in the USA. I’m a particle physics researcher living in London, working on studying a tiny, invisible particle called the neutrino! I love the physics that I work on, but I also love football, skateboarding, baking bread, caring for my house plants and travelling the world!

I’m a die hard Arsenal fan and love going to watch the games!
My love for baking bread started in lockdown when I realised how easy it is to bake really really tasty bread!
Skateboarding is a hobby that I have been doing since I was 12, it’s such a satisfying sport and a great mode of transport too!

My Work:
I study tiny invisible particles called neutrinos to understand how the universe works. I use huge detectors to see the small footsteps they leave behind!

Neutrinos are tiny particles that are everywhere, but they’re really hard to spot! They can stream through walls, people, even the whole planet without hitting anything or slowing down! Every second, about 100 000 000 000 (that’s 100 billion!) neutrinos pass through your thumbnail and nearly all of them come from the Sun! I help design and run big science experiments that look for the tiny flashes of light neutrinos leave behind when they do (very rarely) hit something. By studying them, we learn more about how the universe works, what it’s made of, and where we all came from!

My Typical Day:
I wake up and have breakfast, usually eggs! I go into work, where I analyse neutrino data to learn how they behave! I have lunch and do a bit more work until 5pm. I go home and cook myself a big tasty meal! The leftovers become lunch for the next day!
