I work in mathematical modelling for biological processes and applications. This field has so many different aspects, which of course I wish, but can’t cover! I work on Fluid Dynamics, so e.g. cells in a fluid and how well the mix, if the oxygen is uniform in the tank so the cells can be healthy, as well as filtration, for example when you have a product and you have dirt, you can use different types of filters (chemical or physical) to separate the good from the sneaky guys! I also work on developing models that describe different reactions within a process. That can be a chemical reaction, part of degradation of a vaccine for example, or biological, like cell interactions in our bodies. For these, I use lots of coding and as always in maths, some lovely pen and paper (or tablet in my case)!

			My Interview-
What did you want to be after you left school?I went to the university, in a gorgeous Greek island! Were you ever in trouble at school?I used to talk back to the teachers, but I was working very hard, so maybe I got away with it because of that! If you weren't doing this job, what would you choose instead?Probably Politics and Economics, something social with a bit of maths always! Who is your favourite singer or band?Hmm, recently is Purity Ring, Cigarettes After Sex and The 1975. What's your favourite food?Big foodie here, but I'd say a nice steak dinner or donner kebab (for the less fancy days) If you had 3 wishes for yourself what would they be? - be honest!Be more confident with myself; Be strong (physically); Speak more languages (than 3)
