- What a day, the week has progressively gotten busier and busier! Today seemed to explode with questions – over 460 in laser, with over 200 waiting to be checked by our BEAUTIFUL moderators, and that’s just one zone!
Trying to pick highlights for the day has been almost impossible, as there are so many brilliant questions, probably, some of the best of the week:
liv99 : are scientist more likely to get ill than other people??
blankasengerova : @liv99. I don’t think they’re more likely to get ill, I think teachers and nursery teachers are actually because they come in contact with lots of people in their work. (Niobium)
themadman2477 : r u ever scared of when your doing sciecne that you are going to find something out that u didnt realy want to know (Molybdenum)
brokenhalo : is there any possibility of parralel universes??
carolwhite : @brokenhalo – there’s a possibility, yes! but we haven’t worked out how time and space (star trek stuff) really works yet. the boson higgs particle they’re looking for at cern will help though! (Zirconium)
chickennuggets : how many time have you visted a murder scene and known what has happened straight away? (Pathology)
Live chats were fun, with lots of brilliant questions, which then inspired a lot of brilliant questions from the ASK pages:
- How are Crevasses in mountains and glaciers formed? And are they bottomless?
- Do you think it is better to make ill peoples lives better (such as helping people to walk again) or to cause them discomfort but remove all danger of the particular disease?
- Have you ever heard of the stem cell treatment? I ask because my dad was the first person in the UK to have the operation, which helps to re-grow bones, and I would like to know how it works?
- How will polution affect species reproduction?
Monday is another busy day, but there’s still time to book a live chat if you’d like one, and still plenty of time for students to ask questions, ready for the first evictions on Tuesday!
