Another hefty day of live chats and questions – mods have approved over 1540 questions from over 1320 registered students – scientists are starting to feel the burn, but are thirsty for more!
Here are some of today’s highlights, there was quite a bit of focus on evolution and religion throughout:
- selmae : Do you think that humans will eventually evolve to be completely bald, because we have clothes?
andrewthomas : @selmae that is a good question. I don’t really know the answer to this. There are also predictions that we might all evolve big thumbs from playing computer games! I guess there will always be some people who live in very cold climates where the hair + clothes is still necessary to keep wrm since you lose most of your body heat through your head (Molybdenum Zone live chat)
nmahammed : how do people predict the human evolution? (Organs Zone live chat)
lottieelizabethmk : Should Happy Meals aimed at kids be banned to help Curb Childhood Obesity? (Laser Zone live chat)
gabby1996 : @all – with all the technology developing at such a fast pace, what do you think the world will be like in 3000? (Zirconium Zone live chat)
There were also some really thought provoking questions coming through..
- Will computers ever develop feelings, as the brain is just like a computer? (Earth Zone)
- How much pollution does a volcano produce? (Earth Zone)
- what do you think of stereo-types to scientists e.g. glasses big hair e.t.c? (Yttrium Zone)
- is being a scientist seen as being respected in society ? (Yttrium Zone)
- Can quantum phypics prove the existance of ghost ? (Niobium Zone)
- how does people know god is real???? (Niobium Zone)
Tomorrow is another busy day, but there’s still time to book a live chat if you’d like one, and still plenty of time for students to ask questions!
